South Craven Evangelical Church invites you to journey with us as we aim to make Jesus the centre of our life together as a church family. As we live for Him in this world we open His Word, the Bible, and discover what He's teaching us about God, our lives, work, families, and culture.

We are a Christ-centred, Bible teaching, evangelical church.
Our building is in Crosshills and we serve the villages of South Craven.

Visiting us?

We want you to enjoy your time with us whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth. There will always be a place for you! But if you've never been to church before it can be difficult to know what to expect. We understand that and want to do everything we can to make you feel welcome.

There's no dress code so wear whatever you feel comfortable in; we're a church of all ages and all types! We do our best to avoid jargon but if there's anything you find confusing, don't be afraid to ask. During the meeting feel free to participate in as little or as much as you feel comfortable with.

We're a group of ordinary people coming together to worship, learn about, and follow Jesus. Towards the end of the meeting we serve tea, coffee, and other treats so feel free to stick around for a chat if you're able!

As important as Sundays are, church life extends throughout the rest of the week as well. We run a variety of meetings and ministries that meet midweek. To learn more, click through to our Midweek page below!

Sundays are a vital part of church life here at SCEC. We run a morning service, an evening service, and a youth event every week. For times, directions, and plenty of other details click through to our Sundays page below!

As a church, SCEC is focused on Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; keeping the gospel at the centre of everything we do. We belong to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC), a nationwide network of around 600 churches. We are in full agreement with the FIEC Statement of Faith. We've also outlined our church mission, and mission partners, which will give you a succinct summary of where our priorities are at!

Being new to a church can be intimidating but we're a very friendly bunch with a leadership team more than happy to chat or answer any questions you've got!

If you weren't able to be with us on Sunday, don't worry, we've got what you need! You can easily catch up on the latest sermon here or listen to an old favourite again.

Aside from all our weekly and fortnightly meetings we also run a wide variety of events serving all sorts of people on either a monthly or seasonal basis!

If you've got any questions or want to be in touch, we'd love to talk
so please drop us a line and we'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks!
